Use the NRS Universal Foam Canoe Blocks (set of 4) to protect your canoe,the top of your vehicle during transport. The slot in the foam blocks can pop onto the canoe gunwales (two per side). Then the flat non-skid surface is placed directly on the vehicle roof. You can also slip the slots in the blocks over factory rack load bars,set the gunwales on the non-skid surface.
