If you're one of the fortunate ones who either lives or vacations in a big mountain environment, Nordica's Hot Rod Helldriver ski with integrated XBi CT Binding is an all-mountain ski with plenty of power for carving both on packed,untracked snow. While the Hotrod Hellcat,Hot Rod Helldriver are identical in sidecut dimensions, this one is more oriented to the untracked stuff while the Hellcat has titanium in the construction that keeps it more in tune with hardpack,groomed runs. The design difference isn't too obvious unless you take the Helldriver into powder, where you'll find excellent agility with superb floatation. This season Nordica paired all of their Hot Rod collection skis with their highly flexible XBi CT binding. The XBi CT stands for "X-Balance Central Turn Table." It's an interface that can easily flex the entire length of the ski into a perfect curve for uniform pressure along the edges, so you enjoy better control, powerful turns--and according Nordica, their X-Balance system gives skiers a better sense of balance.
