Crampons built for traditional mountaineering, the Petzl Vasak Spirlock Crampons are designed for mountain,glacial travel. The VASAK provides comfort for walking,plenty of power for glacier climbing. The VASAK's semi-rigid design flexes a bit for a more natural gait,is extremely versatile. Length adjustment is tool-less,fast in support of your choice of footwear,also suggests the possibility of sharing crampons with a partner. These come with two flat front points for increased bearing power, thin-sectioned points for good penetration on ice, the next two points are inclined to give stability. The ten walking points are separated to respect the asymmetry of the boots,to limit the "rail" effect which increases the risk of slipping. The spirlock binding system are for boots with a rear sole overlap (wire at the rear, flexible binding at the front). Strap fastening system, avoiding the encumbrance of a heel-bail.
