If you're going to master a killer guitar riff, you usually need to start at a slow, easy pace. The same thing can be said about fast, twitchy trick boards. Those types of boards are ideal for ripping, but sometimes you need something a little more stable,predictable for mastering new moves. Salomon has the Answer for you. Their Answer snowboard is part of Salomon's new "more pop, less plastic" green initiative in snowboard design, but it's also a smooth riding, rock-stable design that's easy to control on practically any terrain. Like Salomon's toughest boards, the Answer features Salomon's strongest wood core--the "Aspen Strong"--with high density wood strips along the inserts,near the rail zones, but along the sidewalls they added eco-friendly waterproof bamboo rods,rubber. Salomon also used a special bamboo light glass layer construction that not only reduces the content of petroleum-based materials, but also reduces the board weight, so there's a bit more pop when you want it. Like many Salomon all-mountain snowboards, the Answer has a quadratic sidecut made from elliptical curves in the design that adjusts the radius to every running edge for optimal control--it's a better ride for guys who don't want the radial cuts found on traditional freestyle boards. Beneath everything is Salomon's Sintered 2000 base, a fast, low-maintenance surface that's finished with a medium stone finish that improves sintered base glide in all snow conditions. On Sale |
