Borrowing the best technological elements from Scott's all-mountain Mission ski, the Punisher is a highly versatile twin-tip that's perfect for advanced,expert freeriders who typically divide their day between the park,the groomed runs (or hardpack). Unlike traditional ski designs that use a single sidecut dimension, the Punisher has a dual radius design that allows you to mix your short-,large-radius turns with considerable ease. To keep the flex lively, Scott incorporated a durable,versatile wood core triaxial laminate for a blend of torsional stiffness,excellent flex distribution. Another nice feature is the Progressive (Pro) Tip construction that keeps the tips from over flexing,bouncing around in crud,uneven snow. These tips have a progressive tip height radius that makes the flex far more predictable than some advanced,expert twin-tip skis. Unless you opt for the longest Punisher ski size (it has a 90-mm. waist) you might find that this twin isn't quite wide enough for busting up pow all day in the backcountry. On Sale |
